My name is Elizabeth Rissman, and I live in Orlando, Florida. Am I an attorney? No. But I like to consider myself “attorney adjacent.”

 It’s sort of our family business. My father, mother, and brother are all attorneys. My uncle is a retired lawyer for the Navy JAG Corps. And most of my closest friends from college are lawyers, too.

I, however, wanted to take my career in a more creative direction. I’ve launched a New York Times’ Best-Selling book that focuses on the power of personal branding. I’ve designed, developed, and managed dozens of websites, some of which received traffic of 60,000 users per day. I also have several online courses to help with LinkedIn profile creation and how to handle difficult clients, some of which are being translated into foreign languages or audio courses.

I have helped several law firms develop their digital media strategy, whether it is a website, marketing materials, or LinkedIn. I am very familiar with law firm business models and the unique pressure that lawyers face to do the substance of their practice plus market themselves.  Practice areas in which I have direct experience are: workers compensation, limited liability, personal injury, and particularly aviation.
